National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed every year on March 29. It is a day set aside to thank and honor out nation’s Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. Why this date? In 1973, the United States withdrew all combat and combat support units from South Vietnam on this date.

Vietnam veterans served from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975. Today, there are over 6.4 million Vietnam Era Veterans still alive. Over 58,000 men and women are memorialized on the Wall in our Nation’s capital.

We honor our Vietnam Veterans daily for their service.
